Along with Nancy Turner, Briony Penn, and others I co-lead a six day workshop each spring on place and the natural world in the Clearwater Valley, BC. The program includes writing, botany, field journalling, community mapping, and philosophy of the environment. The program is run by The Land Conservancy of BC.

I was an environmental columnist for Focus Magazine for five years, writing a monthly column on environmental stewardship in the South Coast region of Vancouver Island.
